Over 150 Make Bald Move at 10th Annual Hampton Roads Shave to Raise for St. Baldrick’s Foundation

Over 150 Make Bald Move at 10th Annual Hampton Roads Shave to Raise for St. Baldrick’s Foundation The moment her father hoisted her up onto the stage, all eyes were on her. This little sprightly girl with big, soulful eyes and long brown hair. Was she going to cry? Why is she doing this? Oh… she must have….(You pray it isn’t so). “Are you scared?” I whispered to her as my video camera ran. I captured the first buzz of the clippers as they started at the back of her head. Down tumbled locks of beautiful hair. The stylist gave her a reassuring pat on the shoulder. “No,” she said. Kooky Color Me Rad 5K Delights in Virginia Beach

Kooky Color Me Rad 5K Delights in Virginia Beach So you slept in on Sunday and missed the Color Me Rad 5K. What? Too much tequila celebrating Cinco de Mayo the night before? Being Bill DeSteph: A Day in the Life of Virginia Beach Councilman DeSteph We know him as councilman DeSteph a strong voice in Virginia Beach city council. But this political heavy-hitter is one to say no to anything that interferes with a scheduled Daddy-daughter dinner. This may sound cliché, but to Bill DeSteph, family does come first. As DeSteph mentioned throughout my interview with him, “Accept that everything cannot get done today. On the 7th day even God rested. You just have to let go and you have to be okay with it.” But even with that attitude it was inspiring to learn about his typical day, even if it left me feeling that I don’t do nearly enough to maximize mine. 5:30 a.m.-6 a.m. The “nice little thing [alarm]” on DeSteph’s iPhone goes off. From there he takes a look at his text messages from the night before and a quick scan through email. 6:30 ...
