Glitz and Glamour Abound at 2012 Noblemen Red Hot Valentine’s Ball

Glamour, elegance and fun! It was an affair to remember for the more than 500 guests who were lucky enough to snag a ticket to the sold-out Noblemen Red Hot Valentine’s Ball on February 11. Held since 2005 at the magnificent Cavalier Hotel on the Hill in Virginia Beach, the Ball has become one of the most visible and well-attended galas in the area. Supporters come to celebrate Valentine’s Day, and to toast the Noblemen’s ongoing efforts to raise money for local children’s charities.

The Red Hot Valentine’s Ball was sponsored by Monarch Bank. “Our focus is on helping children’s charities in Hampton Roads,” said Brad Schwartz, Monarch Bank CEO. “We are happy to support the work that the Noblemen, The Noblewomen, and now, the Nobleteens do.”

Monarch Bank presented a $10,000 check at the event.

Dressed in their black-tie finest, glitz and glamour was the order of the evening for attendees. Upon arrival guests were welcomed by elegantly dressed hosts and greeters amid the romantically decorated hotel lobby. As men’s tuxedo jackets were pinned with boutonnieres, women were presented with whimsical flashing rings. In addition to the top shelf open bar, waiting in the beautifully appointed ballrooms were heavy hors d’oeuvres stations which included plentiful and delightful selections such as cocktail shrimp, “to order” Ahi tuna, hamburger sliders, poached salmon platters, shrimp and grits, and stuffed whole pork loin with bourbon sauce. For dessert, the temptations of the Noblemen’s famous chocolate fountains, cupcakes, and other sweet morsels were hard to resist. Calories, schmalories! There were no worries for those who boogied the calories away to the sounds of Jackie Scott & The Housewreckers, and Cheap Thrills!

Those who opted for the romantic overnight package secured entrance to the exclusive “after party” in the hotel’s Hunt Room. The intimate unwind included a DJ, full bar and finger foods. In the morning, a complimentary breakfast buffet featuring “the famous Noblemen Bloody Mary and Mimosa Bar” capped off the event.

Al Midgett, CEO of the Noblemen was pleased with the outcome of the organization’s second largest annual fundraising event. “People know that when they come to a Noblemen event, they will not be disappointed. We want to make sure that they enjoy themselves and that they feel good about supporting the work that we do in the community.”

The Noblemen is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization based out of Virginia Beach, Virginia which includes eight member chapters located throughout the Hampton Roads region. Events such as the Red Hot Valentine’s Ball help this philanthropic organization raise much needed funds for local programs and services for local underprivileged children.

If you missed the Red Hot Valentine’s Ball, you can still GET OUT, GIVE BACK and help fuel the Noblemen’s noble deeds by attending a future event. Visit The Noblemen for more information.
